The Northeasterners' Obsession with the Sea
Northeasterners have always had a deep obsession with the sea, to the point where Hainan is almost becoming the fourth province of the Northeast. Apart from the current harsh climate and inland environment, there is also a longing for the vast territory along the coast where Cen Jing once traveled. When promoting patriotism, special attention is always paid to controversial territories like the South China Sea and the Diaoyu Islands, but every child from the Northeast still remembers how much fertile land the Russians occupied in the Northeast.
